COMENIUS PROJECTS AT OUR SCHOOL

Our school, IES Blas Infante, has a long tradition of Comenius projects. As far as I can remember, I have taken part in four projects along the last ten years. This is a very good opportunity for students and teachers to work with other European schools.

We have been developing a Comenius Project for the last three years called Investigation about The Situation of Women in Technical-Professional Education. The final meeting has just been held in our city of Córdoba from the 14th to the 17th of April. The participating countries are Greece, Austria, Italy, Romania and Spain.

Our students at the plurilingual section performed our play The Fortune Machine last 14th of April for the teachers and students in this Comenius project and for the rest of students at 1º ESO from our school.

I also want to inform you that our school has applied for a new Comenius project for the next two school years. It is a Comenius Multilateral Project called A World of Differences about Interculturality and Immigration. We are going to coordinate the works of five more countries: Germany, Bulgaria, Hungary, Turkey and England. If we get the approval, our students will have the chance to share more poetry recitals, theatre sketches and many more activities with the students in these countries.
In our last trip to London last February we had the chance to meet Dave Wordingham, the teacher coordinating the project in Lincoln, England.
